Questions
Can people book through it?
You can link straight to whatever you already use — Fresha, Treatwell, Booksy, or just WhatsApp. We put the button where people will press it. We don't replace your booking system, because the one you have already holds your diary.
I've got an Instagram. Isn't that enough?
Instagram shows your work brilliantly and answers none of the practical questions. Where are you, what does a full head of highlights cost, are you open Sunday. A one-page site answers those and points people back at your Instagram for the pictures.
What does it cost?
Building a site and looking at it is free. Putting it live starts at $29 a month, which covers hosting, the address and the monitoring. Stepping up adds change-by-email, monthly reports and your own domain name. There's no separate build fee on any of them.
Am I tied in?
No. Cancel any month. Your site stays up until the end of the period you've paid for.
Is the website any good, or is it obviously done by a computer?
Judge it yourself before you pay anything — that's why building one is free. It's a single page, written in your words, that loads fast and works on a phone. It is not a ten-page brochure site, and it isn't trying to be.
What if I don't like what it writes?
Change it. You can regenerate it, answer a few questions to give it more to work with, or email us what's wrong and we'll fix it. Nothing goes live until you publish it.
I've already got a website. Can you use it?
Yes. Give us the address and we'll read what's there — your services, hours and contact details — and use it as the starting point rather than making you type it all again. You'll get to check it before anything is published.
Do I own it?
The words and photos are yours, and you can take them with you. If you leave, ask and we'll send you the finished page as a file you can host anywhere.
How quickly do changes happen?
Simple ones — hours, a price, a closure — usually within a few minutes of you sending them. Anything that changes what you're claiming or offering, we send back to you to approve first, because it's your name on it.
What if my site goes down?
We check every five minutes. If it's still down on the second check, we're told automatically and we deal with it. You don't have to notice.
